Job Summary
The Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. This role collaborates with IT, operations, and business units to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities
- Design and develop automation workflows using appropriate tools and platforms
- Implement robotic process automation (RPA) and system integrations
- Monitor automated systems to ensure reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues
- Maintain documentation for automation processes and system configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows
- Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection policies
- Provide user training and technical support for automation tools
- Continuously evaluate new automation technologies and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in automation, scripting, or systems integration
- Experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system integration concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Automation certifications (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional)
